Greetings, dear readers, it’s Jen and I’m here to recap the exciting journey that our Telco Together Foundation embarked on at this year’s Commsday Wholesale Congress, held at the prestigious Melbourne Sofitel Hotel. The event was an extraordinary experience, filled with valuable connections, thought-provoking panels, and an air of professionalism with a dash of charm – the perfect blend for such an occasion.
Let’s start with the exceptional individuals I had the privilege of listening to. They were influential figures in the industry who have illuminated our path in a unique and intelligent way. Every conversation was like an exchange of wisdom, a golden opportunity to forge new connections, and perhaps, to exchange a few Linkedin handles not so discreetly. Building lasting impressions was the order of the day, and I must say, our foundation had some truly invaluable conversations with people from all over the world. Thanking everyone who stopped by our stall to find out more about us and have a complimentary laugh!
Without a doubt, one of the highlights of the event was the panel discussion on gender diversity (see pictured), featuring our remarkable Executive Director, Renee Bowker. It’s genuinely heartwarming to witness Telco Together so effectively represented by an individual as accomplished and passionate as Renee. Her contribution to the panel was both enlightening and inspiring, there is still so much to do with gender equity and so much of it starts from home – both in work homes and in actual “homes”, this short session left me hungry for more discourse.
The event organizers, Commsday, were generous hosts, providing a fantastic platform for our foundation. In an elegant gesture, they extended an invitation to us to introduce ourselves to the audience. Who better than Margaret to do the honors? Her poised introduction on our behalf, coupled with her professionalism, was nothing short of impressive.
The entire experience was a harmonious fusion of professionalism and charm. We engaged in meaningful discussions, cultivated new friendships, and furthered our mission to create a better world.
