Last week’s annual Commander and Vocus Communications wholesaler conference smashed all fundraising records, raising a massive $450,000 in pledges for disadvantaged Australians in just under four hours.
This phenomenal fundraising result was a huge testament to the generosity of the 100+ Australian Commander Centre dealers, M2 wholesalers and Vocus Communications management and staff in attendance who gave generously, as well as to the longstanding support of the M2 Group, (now Vocus Communications after a recent merger), who welcomed Telco Together as the event’s charity partner for the third year running.

It is also a great example of how incorporating a charity element into a corporate sales event can infuse a strong sense of community, warmth, team spirit and excitement to corporate events,” said Ms Bowker.
Fundraising was facilitated through a pledge system in addition to a lively media package charity auction at the Gala Dinner on Tuesday 8th March. The charity auction was made possible thanks to the support of over $135,000 worth of media advertising packages donated by the Multi Channel Network, Nine Entertainment, Macquarie Media, Southern Cross Austereo, Seven Affiliates, Win NBN, Australian Radio Network and Nova Entertainment. The evening was also supported by Acquire Business Outsourcing, Samsung Communications, CommsPlus Distribution, and VExpress.
Telco Together welcomed 27 'Friends of the Foundation - 2016' on the night, thanks to individual donations of $5,000 or more from an extremely generous and community-minded group of telco entrepreneurs, inspired to help us make a difference to disadvantaged Australians. A portion of donations will be collected immediately, with the remaining amount to come in over a 12 month period.
